hacia la menos lírica de las fases
por tanto
sujeto desubicado
sin amor
sin dolor
relieve nulo
poesía plana
dos opciones para el torpe sujeto
que no sabe dónde meterse:
callar o calar
¿y qué es lo que hicimos hasta ahora
si no fue callar?

José A. Villar-Portela (Habana, Cuba 1989) is a poet, translator and editor based out of Miami, FL. While he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Hispanic Literature at Florida International University he often leaves the ivory tower to serve as the Editor/Translator of the O, Miami Poetry Festival, Editor of Jai-Alai Magazine, Assistant Editor and Head of Spanish-Language Acquisitions of Jai-Alai Books and the Programming Director of Reading Queer. He is the editor of Jai-Alai magazine produced by University of Wynwood Press and arrange O, Miami Poetry Festival.

José A. Villar-Portela (Habana, Cuba 1989) es un poeta, editor y traductor radicado en Miami, FL. Además de cursar un doctorado en Literatura Hispanoamericana como becario catedrático del Departamento de Lenguas Modernas de la Universidad Internacional de la Florida (FIU), es editor de la revista Jai-Alai, de la casa editorial Jai-Alai Books y director de programas de la organización literaria Reading Queer. Es editor de Jai-Alai magazine producido por la University de Wynwood y organiza el festival de Poesia O, Miami.
